Brave and Expedition are our week long Summer camps located in the Sam Houston State Forest where students are able to grow deeper in their relationship with Christ while experiencing His love in the midst of His creation. The camps allow teens to meet members of other local parishes within our deanery while building lasting relationships with them and with Christ.
Brave the Wilderness and Expedition are week long Summer camps located in the Sam Houston State Forest where students are able to grow deeper in their relationship with Christ while experiencing His love in the midst of His creation. Brave the Wilderness and Expedition allow teens to meet members of other local parishes within our deanery while building lasting relationships with them and with Christ.
The cost for Brave/Expedition is $350. The initial payment will be a $100 deposit. Scholarships are available so do not let money be an issue.
Brave takes place at Forest Glen Camp, which is hidden in the Sam Houston National Forest in Huntsville, TX.

For the first time ever, our two camps (Expedition and Brave the Wilderness) will be held together. All kids finishing grades 6-8 will attend the Expedition portion of the retreat and all teens in high school will attend the Brave the Wilderness portion. Children are welcome to invite friends as long as they meet the age requirements.
Adults may join us as chaperones as well! Please complete the adult registration form at the link above and you will be instructed to complete the brief safety training prior to the event.
Yes and no. Brave and Expedition will be sharing the same camp so they will see each other throughout the day especially for shared worship services like Mass and adoration, but most activities including talks, games, and meals will be done separately.

We have NEVER turned a teen away because they couldn't afford a camp. Please don't be shy about asking if your teen needs a scholarship.
Recreational Activities Include: High and low ropes courses, zip lines, rock climbing, team building, messy games, canoeing, team sports such as soccer, gaga ball, volleyball, etc., swimming, small group compeitions and much more!
Spiritual Activities Include: Mass, Confession, adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, prayer services, inspirational talks, praise and worship, and much more!
