Receiving the Eucharist is the greatest gift we can receive because in it we are receiving Jesus Christ himself. As one of the Sacraments of Initiation into the Church, this Sacrament is central to the life of every Catholic. It is our aim to assist parents in the preparation of their children for this important encounter with Jesus.
Parents are given assistance in the instruction of their children regarding the real presence of Jesus in the Eucharist during the memorial celebration of the Mass. Children are prepared to hear the Word through the Liturgy and are taught to receive the Body and Blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ with reverence and thanksgiving in the Liturgy of the Eucharist. It is anticipated that families are already actively participating in Sunday Mass, and living out the Good News as Jesus taught.
“Let the children come to me; do not prevent them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these." Mark 10:14
