Every day, we are inundated with words, written and spoken. The Internet allows us to find inspiring and exciting words from countless sources in just a few clicks. In an age where we can instantly seek out words that conform to our thoughts and feelings, what is the role of God’s Word? Is the Bible archaic and irrelevant to modern life? Do the words of Scripture have any more bearing than the platitudes posted all over social media? During the Life Teen Fall Retreat, teens will encounter God’s Word in a new and more profound way. They will break open the Old and New Testaments and explore the Gospels, seeing that God’s Word written in the past is just as good, true, and beautiful today as it was then. With tools to better understand Scripture, the teens can leave this retreat equipped to pray more with the Bible and share God’s Word with those they encounter.
Any student currently enrolled in Confirmation 1 (Life Teen) or Confirmation 2 (Chosen). This retreat will count for the Confirmation 1 retreat requirment.
